This program is designed to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge required to excel in welding-related roles across the construction, marine, and oil and gas industries in Singapore.
Trainees will gain hands-on practical experience in executing a diverse range of welding techniques, including the 3G, 4G, and 6G welding processes as well as the SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding methods. Through intensive, immersive training, learners will develop competency in performing welding tasks on various joint configurations, empowering them to confidently and safely carry out welding work to industry standards within their respective fields. To ensure the highest levels of quality and proficiency, all participants must undergo a comprehensive skill competency assessment conducted by external accredited testers, such as certified welding inspectors. Upon successful completion, trainees who demonstrate mastery of the relevant welding tests will be awarded a certificate and welding skill attainment card, validating their expertise and positioning them for success in the dynamic, high-demand welding industry in Singapore.
This course covers the following topics:
- Introduction to Welding – An overview of welding principles, techniques, and equipment.
- Preparation for Safe Welding Operations – Instruction on safety protocols, personal protective equipment, and proper workspace setup.
- Practical Training on Welding – Hands-on practice and skill development in various welding methods.
- Practical Assessment by Welding Inspector – Evaluation of student welding proficiency by a certified inspector.

Assumed Skills & Knowledge:
- For 4G and 6G welding courses, a minimum of 3G welding experience is required.
- Workers with no welding experience are encouraged to attend 3G welding courses first.
